Lecture: Tourist construction in the Balearic Islands (1939-2005)

From 2015 on, the demarcation of Girona of the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya organises the conference series Síntesis Arquitectóniques to present thesis on architecture and urbanism.

Due to sanitary reasons, this year’s edition has been held in online format and has dealt with island territories. The cycle was initiated by Toni Vidal and his thesis Atlas del Puerto de Maó. He was followed by Rocío Narbona with Cartografía operativa para el proyecto de paisaje turístico de Canarias. I closed this year edition with the presentation of my thesis La construcción turística en las Islas Baleares (1939-2005). Arquitectura, urbanismo, fotografía.

My lecture consisted on a synthesis of the methodology and the contents of the thesis, highlighting issues such as the historic and social context.

“He acabat arquitectura! I ara què?”, the exhibition is running!

Exhibition in the Demarcació de Girona del Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya. From 22ond of March until 29^th of September, 2013.

The exhibition compiles 70 projects of young architects who finished their studies between 2004 and 2012.

The opening took place yesterday. And in it, we could see the result of the effort of all the participants:

 

The exhibition shows models and plans, organizing them in panels according to the dimensions of the projects. There is also my project for a Municipal Archive and History Museum in Sallent.

Opening soon: "He acabat arquitectura! I ara què?"

Next Friday 22 of March begins the exhibition “He acabat arquitectura! I ara què?”. The opening will take place at 19:30 hours in the Girona’s building of the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya.

 

Among the chosen projects, my project for a Municipal Archive and History Museum in Sallent will be there.
