The selection is the result of a work developed by the research group  Audiovisual Heritage, mass-media andillustration” of the University of the Balearic Islands, with the support of the project “The construction of a touristic image through photography. The case of the Balearics (1930-1965)” (HAR2010-21691). The responsibles of the scientific research were Maria-Josep Mulet Gutiérrez and Catalina Aguiló Ribas (University of the Balearic Islands), Xavier Rossell (Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, MACBA) y Jacques Terrassa (Université de la Sorbonne, Paris IV, Francia).

The photographs were digital printings on cardboard, 60x75 cm., with a graphic design of MontMarsà.

· Space

The place dedicated to the exhibition was the hall of the Centre d’Estudis i Documentaciódel Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA). The rectangular shape of the floor permitted to plan a clear path. In front of this facility, there were three requirements: the panels shouldn’t hang the panels on the walls, the materials shouldn’t be expensive and the exhibition should be easy to transport
So, I designed an auxiliary structure for each one of the panels. They lean on the walls without damaging them. They were made of wood and the cardboard panel hang from them as it would hang from a wall.

Detail of the structure

The lightness of the structure made the transport very easy.
