“He acabat arquitectura! I ara què?”, the exhibition is running!

Exhibition in the Demarcació de Girona del Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya. From 22ond of March until 29^th of September, 2013.

The exhibition compiles 70 projects of young architects who finished their studies between 2004 and 2012.

The opening took place yesterday. And in it, we could see the result of the effort of all the participants:

 

The exhibition shows models and plans, organizing them in panels according to the dimensions of the projects. There is also my project for a Municipal Archive and History Museum in Sallent.

Opening soon: "He acabat arquitectura! I ara què?"

Next Friday 22 of March begins the exhibition “He acabat arquitectura! I ara què?”. The opening will take place at 19:30 hours in the Girona’s building of the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya.

 

Among the chosen projects, my project for a Municipal Archive and History Museum in Sallent will be there.

Landscape Photographic Observatory of the Balearic Islands

The web-site of the Landscape PhotographicObservatory of the Balearic Islands is open. The project is administrated by the research group on Audiovisual Heritage, Mass-media and Illustration from the Balearic Islands University.

The web-site is a compilation of information about the evolution of the Balearic landscape especially through photographs, but also through drawings. At the same time, it wants to give information about photographic and audio-visual archives and show the relationship between all this material and the development of the tourism.

p1xelad0 + Born To Run

Reinventa Paquetería Contest. Sections E-commerce and Urgente. 2011, Correos.
 

The initiative proposes to rethink the sending boxes for the Spanish mailing company Correos.

For E-commerce, the box dedicated to on-line shopping, the proposal is the box that I’ve called p1xelad0. The box is divided into two parts: the center, which reflects the mathematic bases of any computer system; and the sides, that represent the logo of the company translated into big-pixels.

 

 

In the Urgente (express mailing) section, the proposal is Born To Run. It’s a box that travels fast.  So, its color changes from green into yellow, the company color. And the company logo transforms into a speed motorcyclist.

Tutorial. How to make an academic poster?

This tutorial is the result of the collaboration with the teacher Isabel Escandell. It has been done to help students of second year of History of Art degree in the making of an academic poster.

The aim is to give basic instructions for creating academia posters from first steps like size and color, to the end with the print process. It also includes a few designing examples for posters.

'Round&'Round&

International competition Hands on Door Handles. 2011, Designboom + Colombo Design.

The project begins questioning the usual polygonal shape of door handles. If usually bags have round handles, why doors don’t? So the door handle becomes a metallic ring.

At the same time we can answer ourselves what happens if we make a hole in the door. That’s not a problem. At home we have lots of “symbolical doors”. Circulation zones, storage rooms... don’t need to be hermetically closed. Even it can be better if we permit light and wind to enter.

Concept of privacy should be revised...

Of course, we should also give the chance of a more conventional solution, where the handle is made of two pieces so the door can be massive.
